A fun, educational and inspirational day at the Warwickshire DSH roadshow
Schoolhouses across Warwickshire & Coventry successfully launched and delivered the anticipated DSH Warwickshire Roadshow earlier this month. In an attempt to support children in hard to reach areas and promote the many benefits of play-based learning, Stratford-upon-Avon was certainly the place to be as primary pupils and teachers came together for a fun and educational day as part of the Digital Schoolhouse programme.

The much awaited Royal Society review on the state of computing education in schools was revealed last Friday. “After the Reboot: Computing Education in UK Schools” presents a comprehensive picture of the current delivery of computing and highlights just how far the UK is falling short of its targets.

It’s proven; that after only a month of workshops, initial findings indicate that the Digital Schoolhouse improves teaching pedagogy and pupil achievement.
Update: Workshops, Social Media and more
The Digital Schoolhouse has gotten off to an explosive start this year. Since the Digital Schoolhouses opened their doors less than a month ago, we have already worked with approx. 500 pupils and have run over 17 workshops so far. Initial confirmed bookings are indicating that by the end of November approximately 1000 pupils or more will have walked through our doors and left feeling inspired. Initial feedback from schools has been highly positive, and primary schools are already booking return visits for their pupils.
Digital Schoolhouse, London Launch at Ukie AGM
Thursday 25th September saw the launch of the Digital Schoolhouse project at Ukie’s AGM held at the EGX Expo in Earls Court. This date also saw the preview of the new Digital Schoolhouse website and Facebook page.
Pilot sessions have already been running in our Digital Schoolhouses and bookings are beginning to flood in, with some schools already almost fully booked for the next few months.
