We are thrilled to announce our newest sponsor for the Digital Schoolhouse programme, Ubisoft.

Founded by the Guillemot brothers in 1986, the French video game company now spans 28 countries and is one of the biggest independent game publishers in the world. With its headquarters in Montreuil, Ubisoft is well known for its diverse and numerous top selling brands on all platforms including Assassin’s Creed®, Far Cry®, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege and many more.

In their 2018 Annual Report, Ubisoft wrote that since November 17 they have chosen to combine all of their sponsorship actions under the ‘Play for Good’ program, which is aimed at promoting play and its numerous benefits.  It is key to recognise the beneficial capacity that games have. We are beginning to witness games that surpass the sphere of leisure, for they have the capacity to teach, advise and even inspire. The power of the gaming industry is enormous, and we are delighted to introduce Ubisoft as one of our key contributors to the nationwide impact of our programme.

Furthermore, it was written in the 2018 Annual Report that in 2017 Ubisoft were successful in upholding their commitment to train the next generation in new technologies and games. We share this commitment with Ubisoft, for we work closely with primary schools across the UK to ensure that the forthcoming generations are digitally literate. Within Ubisoft there exists a general acknowledgement that games are the future. We share this idea, for the opportunities that the video games industry possesses are countless.

We would like to extend a warm welcome and thanks to Ubisoft.  We look forward to what the future will bring.
